Dynamic Management of the Yard
Tailor-made work
- Locations on the yard are not chosen in advance but at the last minute when the container is taken by the straddle-carrier.
- Import and export containers are mixed on the yard.
- Continuous adjustement for straddle-carriers and gantry-cranes.
- Possible mixed operations (cf. drawing) for import/export operations.
- Possible continuous charging/discharging and handling operations.
DGPS Global integration
- Precision to within 1 metre (a steady point is used for the GPS satellite)
- Systematic DGPS checking systématique before the move is allowed by the straddle driver
- Possibility to force the DGPS checking operation using manual procedures (not with the driver but with a coordinator).
Perfect balance between man and machine
- No costraint on the yard; only a few basic rules to obey.
- The algorythm for the location of the containers anticipates the operations.
- The principle is to limit the error riskde : the straddle action is divieded into 2 : loading/unloading (the driver hasn't got the complete information).
